Ask Jevs.site
Privacy, in plain words. Back to Jevs
What is kept
- Each question you ask and the answer Jevs gave, with the time, your IP address, the rough location it maps to, and your browser type. This is a plain log used to see how the site is used and to stop abuse.
- Answers to questions typed in the main box, so that the same question asked again is instant. A question and its answer appear on the home page's “What are people asking RIGHT NOW?” wall only if you press “Post my question”, and never with anything about who asked. Questions that look like they contain an email address, a link or a long number are kept off the wall.
- One cookie,
jw_visitor, a random id used only to count how many questions a browser has asked. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Page visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not store your IP address.
What is never kept
- Text pasted into the “read first” box of the choices form.
Who sees your question
- It is sent to TypeSafe, whose Jev model answers it. The site runs on Vercel and stores its log with Upstash.
Please do not type anything private into a parody butler.
